"Abyssal Shadows" includes two expansion packs: "Abyssal Shadows Roar" and "Abyssal Shadows Pursuit." Today, we will provide Trainers with information about "Abyssal Shadows Roar."

Sound the horn of attack with "Star Convergence" and "Primal Turbo"!
Lugia VSTAR's VSTAR Power, the ability "Star Convergence," allows you to choose up to 2 Colorless Pokémon from your discard pile (excluding Rule Box Pokémon) and place them onto your Bench. As Lugia VSTAR's "perfect partner," the Stage 2 Evolution Pokémon, Archeops, can come directly from the discard pile to the Bench using Lugia VSTAR's "Star Convergence" ability. Afterward, use Archeops' ability, "Primal Turbo," to attach up to 2 Special Energy cards from your deck to any of your Pokémon once per turn. Make effective use of this combination to unleash a powerful offensive!

Trainers can also use the following cards to help execute this "combo" more smoothly.

First, let's take a look at the Trainer cards included in the "Abyssal Shadows Roar" expansion: the Supporter card "Serena" and the Item card "Capture Aroma."
"Capture Aroma" requires you to flip a coin; if heads, you can choose an Evolution Pokémon from your deck and add it to your hand, and if tails, you can choose a Basic Pokémon. It's quite practical.
Using "Serena" allows you to discard Archeops from your hand, setting up for Lugia VSTAR's "Star Convergence" ability.

In addition, Professor Burnet, included in the "Nine-Colored Convergence Source" expansion, along with commonly used Item cards such as Quick Ball and Ultra Ball, can help Trainers set the stage for "Star Convergence."
Radiant Tsareena and Radiant Jirachi make their appearance!
The "Brilliant Stars" series first introduced Radiant Pokémon, and many Trainers have already experienced their power in battles. Today, we introduce two Radiant Pokémon included in "Abyssal Shadows Roar."

Radiant Tsareena's ability, "Elegant Heal," can be used once during each of your turns to restore 20 HP to all of your Pokémon. When facing Inteleon with the "Quick Shooting" ability, which places damage counters on your Pokémon, its speed cannot outpace the healing provided by "Elegant Heal."

Radiant Jirachi's ability, "Entrusted Wishes," allows you to choose up to 3 cards from your deck and add them to your hand when this Pokémon is knocked out by damage from an opponent's attack. This sets up your counter-strategy for the next turn.
Its move, "Stellar Doom," requires just 2 Colorless Energy to use, and it allows you to flip 2 coins. If both are heads, the opponent's Active Pokémon is Knocked Out. Combined with the earlier-released Stadium card "Glimwood Tangle," which lets you re-flip coins once per turn, you can increase the chances of successfully using this move. With a bit of luck, it might turn the tide of battle in your favor.
More powerful Pokémon VSTAR make their debut!
"Abyssal Shadows Roar" features a multitude of Pokémon VSTAR, each with their own powerful "VSTAR Powers." Here, we'll introduce some of the standout Pokémon VSTAR for Trainers to get excited about.

Hisuian Lilligant VSTAR's attack, "Spinning Shot," allows you to return one Energy attached to this Pokémon to your hand. It deals 130 base damage and adds another 100 damage, making it very powerful. Its VSTAR Power, the ability "Star Perfume," lets you search your deck for up to 5 Grass Pokémon and Grass Energy cards combined, and add them to your hand.

Magnezone VSTAR's VSTAR Power, the move "Electrostar," deals 90 damage to 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. When your opponent's Benched Pokémon have low remaining HP, this move can potentially secure a swift victory by knocking them out simultaneously.

Zacian VSTAR's VSTAR Power, "Star Sword," deals a massive 310 damage. Although it also inflicts 30 damage to itself, when combined with the Tool card "Choice Belt" and Radiant Hawlucha, it can increase the damage to a staggering 370 against opposing Pokémon VMAX, making it incredibly powerful.

Zamazenta VSTAR's ability, "Star Shield," reduces the damage your Pokémon take from your opponent's attacks by 100 during their next turn. This powerful defensive ability can help you mitigate your opponent's offensive pressure and buy you crucial time in battle. Use the strong shield to slow down your opponent's assault!
Other Pokémon Featured in "Abyssal Shadows Roar"
In addition to the Pokémon VSTAR, "Abyssal Shadows Roar" also includes many practical Pokémon cards for battles. Here, we unveil some of these useful Pokémon for Trainers.

Miltank's ability, "Miracle Body," prevents it from taking any damage from the attacks of your opponent's Pokémon V. This ability can be very useful in battles, effectively protecting Miltank from some of the most powerful threats in the game.

Ariados's ability, "Dark String," increases the attack cost of your opponent's Pokémon VSTAR by one additional energy of any type. When combined with the Stadium card "Temple of Sinnoh," which can alter energy dynamics, you have a strategic opportunity to disrupt your opponent's offensive rhythm and potentially slow down their gameplay.

Magmortar can be paired with Electivire to deal extra damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon. This combination takes advantage of their synergy, enhancing your attack strategy and increasing pressure on your opponent during battle.

There are still other powerful cards waiting for you to discover.
The "Exile Zone," which once appeared in the Pokémon card "Sun & Moon" series, will return in this set of products. Let's take a look at the knowledge and cards related to the Exile Zone.
What is the Exile Zone?
The Exile Zone is a different area from the discard pile. Cards placed in the Exile Zone cannot return to the field, deck, hand, or discard pile during the battle, meaning they cannot be used again. The contents and number of cards in the Exile Zone can be checked by both players at any time, just like the discard pile.
Cards related to the Exile Zone included in the "Abyssal Shadows: Pursuit" series.

In the "Abyssal Shadows: Pursuit" series, Giratina is featured as the cover Pokémon, presented as both Giratina V and Giratina VSTAR. Giratina V's move "Abyssal Search" requires only one energy of any type, allowing the player to look at the top four cards of their deck, choose two to add to their hand, and place the remaining cards in the Exile Zone, setting up for future strategies. The move "Rend" deals 160 damage without considering any effects on the opponent's Active Pokémon. Upon evolving into Giratina VSTAR, its VSTAR Power, the move "Star Requiem," can instantly knock out the opponent's Active Pokémon. Although it can only be used when there are 10 or more cards in the player's Exile Zone, this condition is not difficult to achieve with the help of other Pokémon included in the "Abyssal Shadows: Pursuit" series.

Florges's ability "Flower Selecting" can be used once during your turn while it is on the battlefield. It allows you to look at the top two cards of your deck, choose one to add to your hand, and place the remaining card in the Exile Zone. If you have multiple Florges in play, you can use this ability multiple times, placing several cards into the Exile Zone.
Decidueye's ability "Exile Supply" allows you to use its moves without any energy cost when you have four or more cards in your Exile Zone. Its move "Hurricane Vomit" deals 110 damage. Combined with Florges's ability, you have the opportunity to deliver a significant blow to your opponent's Active Pokémon on your first turn if you go second.
Banette's ability "Doll Contribution" lets you choose a Supporter card from your discard pile to add to your hand, then place Banette into the Exile Zone. This not only allows you to recover a previously used Supporter but also increases the number of cards in the Exile Zone.

In addition to Pokémon, there are several Trainer cards that can "exile" cards as well.
The Supporter card "Colress's Experiment" lets you look at the top five cards of your deck, choose three to add to your hand, and put the remaining cards into the Exile Zone. This is an effective draw card that also helps increase the number of cards in the Exile Zone.
The Item card "Exile Vacuum" allows you to put one card from your hand into the Exile Zone, then choose either a Pokémon Tool attached to any Pokémon in play or a Stadium card in play and put it into the Exile Zone. Using this card at the right moment can clear obstacles for your offense.
The Stadium card "Exile City" can be used so that when a Pokémon is knocked out, it is placed in the Exile Zone. This card can be strategically played to put your opponent's key Pokémon in a situation from which they cannot recover.
Look forward to more cards with abilities related to the Exile Zone!
In addition to cards related to the Exile Zone, the "Abyssal Shadows: Pursuit" booster pack also includes cards essential for other powerful decks. Here, we'll introduce some of these cards to all trainers.
Join forces to achieve great things from small beginnings!

Keldeo's move "Heartfelt Cooperation" deals a base damage of 50 points. However, if you have Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion on your Bench, it adds an extra 170 damage, posing a significant threat to Pokémon V. When facing Dark-type Pokémon, Cobalion's ability "Justice Law" provides an additional 30 damage boost, allowing for a maximum of 250 damage.
Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion are also included in the "Abyssal Shadows" booster pack. Depending on the type of your opponent's Battle Pokémon, use different Pokémon from your deck to dismantle your opponent’s defense!
※Virizion and Cobalion are included in the "Abyssal Shadows: Roar" booster pack.
A deck that's stronger without Supporters?!

The evolution of Baltoy, Claydol, possesses the ability "Mystical Charge." Trainers can use this ability once per turn if there are no Supporter cards in their discard pile, allowing you to attach a Fighting Energy from the discard pile to one of your Pokémon. Stonjourner's move "Mystical Suppression" deals 190 damage if there are no Supporters in your discard pile. Additionally, Stunfisk's move "Mystical Volt" can deal 100 damage to one of your opponent's Pokémon if your discard pile lacks Supporters.
The supporter card "Chaklow," found in the "Shadow Eclipse" expansion, can enhance this strategy. It offers a 30 damage boost to your Fighting-type Pokémon's attacks against the opponent's active Pokémon. Furthermore, by discarding 2 cards from your hand, you can retrieve Chaklow from the discard pile, effectively synergizing with the aforementioned cards.
※Stunfisk is included in the "Abyssal Shadows: Roar" booster pack.
Strengthen a Water-type deck using Grusha!

The Supporter card "Grusha" allows you to look at the top 7 cards of your deck and choose any number of Water-type Pokémon and Water Energy to add to your hand. Moreover, in the turn you use Grusha, Froslass's move "Snow Prison" can paralyze the opponent's active Pokémon and deal 110 damage, while Glalie's move "Big Mouth" can deal up to 260 damage to the opponent. Depending on the situation, use Grusha to assist the appropriate Pokémon in causing trouble for your opponent!
